Case study : Stapleford Park

Stapleford Park, Nr Melton Mowbray Leicestershire

Stapleford Park, a 5000m2 Grade 1 Listed Country House, which is both 15th Century, repaired in 1633, and partly Victorian, was restored and converted in several phases into a Five Star Country House Hotel.

Several teams of interior designers worked with Robert Weighton Architects, quantity surveyors WS Jackson & Associates and the construction team in renovating and refurbishing the state rooms, public areas and staff areas including a Tudor Kitchen to create 55 individually designed bedrooms, meeting rooms and a functions suite. Contract Works also included restoring and converting a 2000m2 stable block and cottages into guest rooms and staff accommodation and the creation of a large Kitchen Garden using teams of local volunteers. Significant areas of the gardens, originally landscaped by Capability Brown, were also restored and improved.
